Misinformation and clarifications

Why she got low vote in preliminary round

Some people have assumed that her low vote count in the preliminary round means she has little support, but that conclusion overlooks the actual reasons behind the result.
In the preliminary round, she did not receive a high number of votes because she refused to campaign unlawfully and chose to abide by the election rules.
Secondly, many of her supporters knew that she had already secured a volunteer ticket to stand in the election, so they diverted their votes to other candidates.
Therefore, the low vote count in the preliminary round was not due to a lack of supporters.

She stands behind Middle‑Way Approach

She has served the Tibetan community in many capacities, including a period of service with the Tibetan Youth Congress. However, having once served in the TYC does not mean she opposes the Middle‑Way Approach. Unfortunately there were few opportunist, who were from TYC, who has miss used the term Rangzen to attack CTA and create division. But Karma Choekyi la is deeply committed to upholding the Constitution and standing firmly behind His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Why did she volunteer her candidacy?

A recent smear campaign claims - falsely - that she volunteered her candidacy merely to split the votes. This accusation does not hold up to even basic scrutiny. Her application for voluntary candidacy in the final election was submitted well before the preliminary election took place. Because of this timeline, it is impossible for her decision to have been motivated by the outcome of the preliminary vote or by any intention to divide the electorate.

She put forward her candidacy because many people consider her to be the most qualified Chithue candidate from Europe.
